Buddy Davis (1969) is executive sports editor at The Ruston Daily Leader. He recently received a first place award in the College Event, Class II division of the 2006 Louisiana Sports Writers Association writing contest. Davis also captured a second place in the Pro Feature, Class II division and honorable mention recognition for his account of Ruston High's comeback win against Mandeville in the 2006 Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 5-A football playoffs in the Prep Event, Class II category and an honorable mention award for his feature story on a 103-year-old female fan of the University of Nebraska football program in the College Feature, Class II division. Beverly Ambrico Denver (1969) went from Tech to LSU's graduate program in journalism, where she was a teaching assistant, in 1969-70. For 17 years she was a self-employed newspaper publisher who started, managed and sold two community newspapers, the North Houston Journal and West University Journal. Currently editor and publisher of Houston Woman Magazine, Denver was named Houston's Print Journalist of the Year in 2000 by the Houston Press Club. She has received numerous other professional and community service awards. She lives in Bellaire, Texas. (3/21/05)

After a 30-year career in media and corporate public relations, Chuck Dickey (1972) began a new career as a real estate appraiser for the Louisiana Tax Commission in 2004. He is currently President of Timberlane Country Club and a board member of the New Orleans Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, which honored him with their plate spinner award in 2003. Dickey won Silver Anvil awards for his public relations campaigns for Cirque du Soleil and Tenet Healthcare. He and his wife Nadine live in the Algiers section of New Orleans. (10/1/04)

Dr. Bill Ebarb (1972) is director of fiscal affairs for the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchotiches.
Scott Eberz (1988) is assigned to the Gaming Enforcement Division, Tribal Gaming Section, of the Oregon State Police. His unit conducts suitability investigations for Class III vendors to ensure the fairness, integrity, security and honesty of gaming in the state and conducts all major criminal investigations that concern Class III gaming in Oregon. In 1991 Eberz earned a master's degree in journalism from LSU with an emphasis in public relations. He also holds an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate issued by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training. Eberz has received several commendations as a state trooper. His accomplishments include seizing nearly $100,000 in drug money, arresting 25 reckless drivers and initiating 138 criminal investigations during 2000 when he implemented the Oregon State Police's first Aggressive Driver Enforcement program. Eberz and his wife, Heidi, live in Salem, Ore. They have three children: Elaina, Chloe and Gage. (8/24/04)
