Free Speech Radio New is a daily half-hour progressive U.S. radio newscast
heard on more than 100 stations by 1 million plus listeners. FSRN is owned
and managed by news reporters in the US and around the world. It was
created by striking Pacifica reporters in 2000.
FSRN is an equal opportunity employer. Women, people of color, people with
disabilities, LGBTI and young people are especially encouraged to apply.
This position includes fund raising and administrative tasks. The ideal
candidate will be proactive and assume job duties immediately, as well as
have a proven track record of fund raising. Must be able to communicate
well and work as a team with bookkeeper, other key staff and reporters.
The successful applicant will become a collective member of FSRN, and be
required to participate in regular meetings.
Job duties & responsibilities:
Grant writing
- Develop fundraising plan with our main fiscal sponsor, Pacifica Radio
- Identify and pursue new sources of funding
- Continue Bulk Mail Program
- Develop donor relationships
- Data base entry and management
- Income deposits and tracking
- Finance committee work
