     Economic statistics -- such as the consumer price index and unemployment statistics -- can be closely related to the performance of the economy in an area or for the United States as a whole. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' Web site provides access to much of this information, some as "Most Requested Statistics" and some as the result of queries you form for yourself.
