     ERIC Clearinghouse on Information and Technology is a major resource for information about education for teachers and others. The site says its specialists have compiled "over 3000 resources on a variety of educational issues ... [including] Internet sites, educational organizations, and electronic discussion groups." Information is available through a search engine or by use of a directory tree structure.

     Information about public schools, colleges, libraries and other institutions across the United States is available here. You can find data such as enrollment, costs and accreditation for individual schools and aggregate data in a number of categories related to education.
